Meet Our Teachers and Staff

Our team of passionate, skilled teachers here at Tina’s Dance Studios is here to guide and inspire the next generation of performers. With recognised expertise across a wide range of dance styles, our teachers are dedicated to helping every student reach their maximum potential.

Tina Jameson LISTD
Principal Teacher

Miss Tina started Ballet & Tap aged 2 at the Fenn School of Dancing, Wigan. After taking many lead roles in the Dance Displays, and assisting with Saturday Classes regularly, she went on to train at the Northern Ballet School, Manchester. Tina was awarded Distinction in her teaching qualifications and upon graduation danced professionally in Europe and the UK.

Miss Tina holds Licentiate status with the Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dancing, and has successfully applied for Recognised School status with the CDMT.

Stacey Tordoff LISTD
Deputy Head Teacher

Miss Stacey was a pupil at Miss Fenn’s when Tina took over, and progressed to the top of the school under Miss Tina’s guidance. Showing a natural talent and excellent choreographic skills, Stacey went on to study Dance at the Merseyside Dance Centre, Liverpool, where she was appointed Head Girl. With excellent qualifications Stacey returned to Tina’s to run classes in Studio 2.

Miss Stacey holds Licentiate status with the Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dancing. Stacey is also our qualified First Aider and Extra Curricular Course Organiser.

Roanne Cox
Miss Roanne Cox BA (Hons) DDE
Dance Teacher

Roanne began dancing aged 4 at Miss Tina’s, progressing through the school to become a regular assistant before pursuing vocational training at the Northern Ballet School, Manchester. Graduating with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance, she gained Advanced ISTD certificates as well as ISTD teaching certificates, before completing her BA(Hons) in Professional Practice in Arts & Creative Industries with First Class Honours through Middlesex University. She also holds Progressing Ballet Technique qualifications and Acrobatic Arts certification.

Roanne then went on to dance professionally in the UK as well as in hotels in Cyprus, where she advanced to Dance Captain and Entertainment Manager. She loves to share her love for dance through her knowledge and creativity, and will be a great asset to the teaching team at TDS.

Kathy Aspinall
Registrar

Kathy has had 2 daughters dancing through the school, and runs the school office on Saturdays. She organises fee payments and fits dancewear, as well as helping new parents with enquiries.

Lyla Waterworth-Sharp - Student Teacher

Student Teacher

Miss Lyla danced through our school from Tinies to Top Prefects, and completed her first year at Performers College before changing her pathway to dance teaching. She is currently completing her DDEs in Liverpool, and is delighted to return to inspire the next generation of young dancers in Wigan.

Lyla holds her PBT certification and will soon be qualified to teach Acrobatic Arts.

Lyla also manages our social media, showing our school and its pupils to be the warm community of talent that makes TDS feel like Home.
