Teachers & Staff

Principal Teacher          Miss Tina   (Mrs Tina Jameson LISTD)

Miss Tina started Ballet & Tap aged 2 at the Fenn School of Dancing, Wigan. After taking many lead roles in the Dance Displays, and assisting with Saturday Classes regularly, she went on to train at the Northern Ballet School, Manchester. Tina was awarded Distinction in her teaching qualifications and upon graduation danced  professionally in Europe and the UK.

In 1989 Miss Tina took over Miss Fenn’s 40 year old established school, bringing Modern dance styles and a wealth of choreographic experience. ISTD examinations were introduced, and the Stage Shows gained a reputation of being the best in the region. In 1996 the move to Throstlenest Avenue brought Tina’s Dance Studios to its own premises, developing Studios 1, 2 & Studio 3.

Miss Tina holds Licentiate status with the Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dancing, and has successfully applied for Recognised School status with the CDET.

Deputy Head Teacher  Miss Stacey (Mrs Stacey Tordoff LISTD)

Miss Stacey was a pupil at Miss Fenn's when Tina took over, and progressed to the top of the School. Showing a natural talent and excellent choreographic skills, Stacey went on to study Dance at the Merseyside Dance Centre, Liverpool, where she was appointed Head Girl. With excellent qualifications Stacey returned to Tina’s to run classes in Studio 2.

Miss Stacey has many years' experience teaching our new Beginners, besides heading the National Dance department and teaching all genres through the Grades up to the highest Vocational level. Stacey is also our qualified First Aider and Extra Curricular Course Organiser.

Lindsey has recently returned from America where she spent 4 years as both the Resident Director and Dance Captain of the Broadway Theatre at the New York New York Casino and the Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas. From there she then embarked on a tour throughout the US and Canada seeing her share the stage with Dolly Parton in Dollywood. Previous to this Lindsey travelled the world on board Carnival Cruise Lines as a Dancer and Dance Captain for over 5 years and performed in numerous UK Tours including 'Simply Big Band' and 'Spirit of the Dance'. As a qualified dance teacher Lindsey teaches dance and delivers guest workshops in numerous dance schools throughout the North West. She is happy to be teaching upper school pupils at Tina's, where it all began for her all those years ago!

Dance Teacher - Miss Olivia (Miss Olivia Roberts)

Olivia was a successful pupil at Tina's and went on to the Merseyside Dance Centre to complete her 3 year Professional Dance course. Upon graduation Olivia danced and sung professionally in Cyprus, and dances though Corporate contracts in the UK. We are delighted to have Miss Olivia to drop in as a guest teacher from time to time.

Pianist - Alan (Mr Alan Gregory BAHons)

Alan joined the Staff in September 2007. He accompanies Ballet and Tap classes. Having our own pianist brings a diversity of music to our classes, and gives the teachers great flexibility during tuition - allowing tempo changes, any length of piece, introductions and codas. This helps the flow of the lessons and brings out the musicality in the pupils. Alan is a recognised pianist with the ISTD

Alan is a fully qualified music teacher, having worked in a number of schools in the area, and also gives individual piano and vocal tuition.

Saturday Demostrators - Dana McGibbon, Lucy Eccles, Layla Hayes, Antonia Jameson, Ciara Tordoff, Emma Guenther, Chloe Lowe, Robyn Ormesher, Abigail Melling, Mollie Aspinall

Registrars - Mrs Joanne Swinburn, Miss Antonia Jameson

All our teachers are fully qualified and CRB checked.
